Vintage King Audio はデトロイトの中心にあるレコーディングスタジオ White Room のオーナー、マイケルとアンドリュー ニラによってスタート。もとは RCA Records のレコーディングアーティストとして自らの曲作りの為に始めたスタジオだが、すぐに Vintage ギアーの魅力に惹かれ、 Neve 1073's を買い占めたことから始まる。 1988 年 20 万円程の予算から始めたこの会社も今では Vintage ギアーの取り扱いではアメリカ最大に成長。更に新機材の取り扱いも始め、さらに一層お客様のニーズに対応する。 |

| About Akane Nakamura Behrens |

| Akane Behrens brings a unique perspective to Vintage King Audio in that she is both the only female sales representative as well as the direct connection to Vintage King’s clientele in Japan (her native country) and Asia. Behrens first entered into the world of professional audio at Kogakuin College in Japan. She also served as an engineer at recording studio SAM in Tokyo, all the while mapping out a plan to achieve her lifelong dream of working at a Los Angeles recording studio. Ultimately, Behrens left Japan in order to study at the L.A. Recording Workshop in hopes of developing relationships with some of the city’s top facilities. Her hard work paid off and Behrens worked at the legendary Mix Room in Burbank, CA whose expansive client list includes Velvet Revolver, Madonna, Usher, Luther Vandross, Journey and Kid Rock to name a select few.
Upon relocating to Detroit, Behrens worked with both F.B.T. Productions and 54 Sound, the former studio of Eminem, in Ferndale, MI. While at 54 Sound, Behrens became familiar with Vintage King Audio (whose headquarters were right next door) and, as fate would have it, Vintage King was looking to expand internationally, particularly into the Asian market. Behrens was a natural fit thanks to not just her nationality, but also her vast knowledge of audio recording. She began working for Vintage King in the fall of 2005 and continues to oversee sales in Japan and Asia.
