"Hey Jeff (Ehrenberg),
Got the Barefoots hooked up...these speakers are really quite something special.
They remind me off the feeling I had when I was in the 9th grade and got glasses for the first time for my nearsightedness. Up until that point in my life I had just assumed that the world at a distance was a little blurry. When I tried on my glasses for the first time I was astounded at how clear everything was...I remember looking at the sun shine off the leaves of a tree that was a few hundred feet away and seeing all the detail in the shine and the crispness of the leaves edges.
The detail and depth of the MM35s is amazing in all those same ways! I'm hearing stuff in my favorite tracks that I never knew existed and the clarity, depth and separation is amazing. The bottom end is tight and wonderful...having the sub built in really cleaned up a lot of issues I was having with my other system with an external sub. With the Lifetime movies I have to compose at very low volumes under a ton of dialog and it's always been a struggle to hear what's going on down in the low registers. I brought up some of the mixes I'd done for the last movie I did and I could instantly hear what I was mostly guessing at on my other set of speakers. You were right...for my 10x15 room these things can get ridiculously loud and the bottom is thunderous.
