ATC Loudspeakers are rooted in innovative design, thorough research into new materials and sound engineering decisions with one overall goal: to make a better-sounding loudspeaker. Since its inception in 1974, ATC has kept steadfastly to the aims of its founder, Billy Woodman, of building loudspeakers and audio electronics that employ the most effective of modern engineering principles. ATC doesn’t respond to competition, they respond to advances in technology that enable them to improve their products. Over the past 30+ years, ATC has quietly moved ahead of its competitors by actively developing and implementing solutions that substantially improve performance, from the PA65 live sound speaker system to the SCM25A Pro Active 3-way monitors, the latest addition to Vintage King’s line of ATC products.
The ATC SCM100ASL Pro is an active 3-way monitor system suitable for larger rooms, based around the same tweeter, midrange and amp configuration as the SCM50ASL Pro, but using a 314mm bass driver in a larger enclosure. Maximum continuous SPLs of up to 115dB/1m are possible. 4th order active crossovers produce a highly linear amplitude response for both direct and ambient fields, contributing to exceptional stereo imaging. The active design ensures optimum matching of six MOS-FET amp blocks to the drivers, providing plenty of transient headroom and maximum SPLs of up to 112dB. An LF contour control provides five bass boost settings, and a flat reference response.
ATC Loudspeakers introduces the ATC SMC 110A Professional Monitor , a new compact, active 3-way reference monitor. Designed with high resolution sample rates and bit depths in mind for both stereo and multi-channel applications that feature a dedicated center channel and subwoofer system, the new low-profile SMC 110A comprises twin 9-inch ATC SL bass drivers, an ATC 3-inch soft dome mid and a soft dome one-inch tweeter. Maintaining the strict performance criteria of the taller models of ATC reference monitors, the SMC 110A offers a low profile specifically designed for better sight lines through windows and below obstructions. Unparalleled functionality and dynamic range, and a 80 x 10 degree dispersion are combined in a monitor system that offers an amplitude linearity of 50 Hz-20 kHz (2 dB). The active design matches six MOSFET amplifier blocks with the drivers to deliver an excellent transient response and a maximum SPL of 115dB. Amplifier output is 50 watts for HF, 100 watts for MF and 200 watts for LF. An LF contour control provides 6 dB of bass boost.
The ATC SCM150ASL Pro is a further development of the SCM100ASL Pro, substituting a larger 375mm Super Linear bass driver, and increasing the enclosure size to 150 litres. The result is extended bass, greater headroom, and even more dynamic range.

Sharing a genuine professional heritage with ATC’s famous Active 20 Pro loudspeaker, the ATC Loudspeakers 16A ’s solid, curved, cast-
aluminum enclosure is exceptionally rigid and acoustically inert.
The ATC Loudspeakers 16A features a neodymium 25mm soft dome tweeter. ATC’s new Constrained Layer Damping (CLD) technology has been utilized for the 150mm mid-bass driver (incorporating with a 45mm integral soft dome).
The ATC SCM200ASL Pro is a 3-way active main studio monitor capable of continuous SPLs up to 118dB/1m.
The HF, mid and twin 314mm Super Linear bass drivers are driven by a separate 850W per channel amplifier block.
The new ATC SCM20ASL Pro brings together the experience and tradition of 20 years of ATC design with the latest advances in materials technology, and a radical design of speaker cabinet. The result is a highly portable active monitor capable of high volume and unerring accuracy - the ultimate transportable monitor system. By employing a Super Linear magnet in a new version of the renowned 150mm mid/bass drive unit, along with a 25mm tweeter, the SCM20ASL Pro delivers true reference monitoring that you would expect only in a large 3-way monitor. The active 2-way design incorporates two separate amplifier blocks in each cabinet - 250W for bass/mid and 50W for high frequencies - and will deliver continuous SPLs of up to 108Db/1M. Right up to the highest volume, however, the matched amp and driver system maintains ultra-low distortion, solid stereo imaging, and a high degree of linearity. A rear panel selector provides five different LF boost settings, as well as a flat Reference setting, tailoring the SCM20ASL Pro's low end response to different monitoring environments. The elegant lines of the die cast aluminium cabinet are functional as well as aesthetic, incorporating a carry handle and large cooling fins, and providing superb structural integrity. Universal Omnimount fixings are built into the cabinet, for flying or wall mounting.
Got a gtreat amp already? Introducing the new ATC passive SCM20SL loudspeakers . This offering represents ATC's first venture into the U.S. pro market with a passive monitor. Maintaining the strict performance criteria of ATC reference monitors, the SCM 20SL offers project and home studios the dynamic range and pristine imaging ATC is known for worldwide. Designed to fit within the company's highly-regarded line of speakers, the ATC "Passive 20" features the same woofer and tweeter as the active (SCM20ASL) version of the speaker. The SCM20SL passives are housed in a conventional "pro-black" box for easy placement on any meter bridge. ATC recommends amplifiers with at least 200W per channel of power. The Passive 20 loudspeaker enables ATC speaker fans to own a high performance monitor at half the price of the actives. The SCM20SL Passive low-frequency section is a hybrid design incorporating a 150mm bass cone with a grafted 75mm soft dome for mid-range assist. The woofer magnet assembly utilizes ATC's unique "SL" technology to greatly reduce third harmonic distortion and reveal mistakes and details. All ATC drivers are manufactured in-house to exacting tolerances and are legendary for their many design innovations. Designed for positioning on a meter bridge, or rack-mountable for broadcast applications, the ATC SCM25A Pro offers very high-performance in the most compact possible form factor. The SCM25A Pro incorporates ATC's proprietary short coil seven-inch carbon-paper woofer, a three-inch soft dome midrange driver and a one-inch silk dome tweeter in a ported enclosure that measures 10.4 inches (264 mm) (H) x 16.9 inches (430 mm) (W) x 16 inches (408 mm) (D). The integrated tri-amplifier generates 150 W RMS for the woofer, 50 W RMS for the midrange and 25 W RMS for the tweeter. The passively cooled amp pack also features FET limiting. The crossovers are all 4th order, critically damped with phase compensation. The SCM25A Pro produces a wide, stable soundfield with very low coloration and offers low frequency extension to 42 Hz (-6dB).
Based on the same mid and HF drivers, and the same amplifier block as the ATC SCM200A Pro, the ATC SCM300A employs larger 375mm bass drivers and a larger 300 litre enclosure to deliver even higher maximum volume (121dB/1m), with extended bass and increased transient headroom.
The ATC SCM50ASL Pro is an active 3-way system suitable for reference monitoring in medium sized rooms, with a 234mm Super Linear bass driver and ATC's unique SM75-150S mid range soft dome driver. The active design ensures optimum matching of six MOS-FET amp blocks to the drivers, providing plenty of transient headroom and maximum SPLs of up to 112dB. An LF contour control provides five bass boost settings, and a flat reference response.
The ATC SCM0.1/15ASL Sub uses the incredible ATC invention, the SL driver. 375mm (15 inches) in diameter, it is the largest of the SL driver options and offers the lowest 3rd harmonic distortion of any large woofer we know, typically reducing it by 35dB. A massive built-in 1000W ATC high speed amplifier delivers over 118dB spl at 28Hz, an amazing feat. This sub is floor loaded to couple with almost any room properly (far better than any front loaded type sub). It also offers a nice user interface that addresses Billy Woodman’s philosophy of “no bass management”. The ATC sub has a dual XLR (L/R) input, an amp gain control, a LP filter with user selectable frequencies of 2K, 180Hz, 120, 90, 70, 50Hz. There is also a “contour” control that enables a peak type filter (boost) into the amplifier at around 100Hz if you want to compensate for AC3 or source deficiencies. ATC recommends no “bass management” or, no roll off for the main speakers when used with a sub. This bass management filtering artificially colors the main speaker sound and introduces filter/phase problems. ATC’s thought is that bass management was largely created to protect woofers in tiny satellites, not to improve overall response or transition between sub and mains. Run the main speakers full range and the sub at the widest possible bandwidth, then lower the LP filter freq to the sub from there. This generates a nice result and creates a smooth transition between mains and subs. The ATC sub package is flat to 28Hz and is very clean. True low distortion woofer output below 100Hz is a thing of beauty and we’ve heard it ONLY in the ATC. Do not expect to be “knocked down” with huge quantities of bass. Much of what we think is massive bass is really just loads of distortion at 200Hz to 300Hz! Sometimes this distortion can approach 40 to 50% of the total sub output! So word to the wise, do not buy this ATC sub for showing off to clients. It is a precision tool and engineers window into the “below 100 Hz” world of a mix; a near perfect mate to ATC mains. If you are making judgments on bass content we see no other way you can to do it properly than with the ATC sub. A single ATC SCM 0.1/15ASL will deliver output SPL of 118dB (1W/1M). IF you need more output you must add units. A single 1-15 sub is 118dB SPL, 2 is 121dB SPL, 4 is 124dB SPL and 8 is insane! ATC also makes a SCM0.1/12SL sub which sounds great but is designed for lower output and smaller rooms. It is fine for small production rooms but we do not recommend this unit for the typically larger studio control rooms. Call if you have any questions about using an ATC subwoofer with your system.
