Grammy Award-winner George Massenburg is a legendary engineer and producer who invented the concept of parametric EQ. For over 30 years, alongside Vintage King’s progress in the audio marketplace, George Massenburg’s electronics company, GML (George Massenburg Labs) has created a line of analog designs with super-clean signal paths featuring extended resolution and bandwidth for the digital age. GML’s expertly crafted parametric EQs, mic preamps, channel strips or mastering EQs offers unprecedented quality.
The GML 2030 Mastering Dynamic Gain Control is the precision tool for mastering and other critical applications where the utmost in calibrated control, flexibility, and audio transparency is required. Based on the proven GML 8900 Series III audio and control topologies, this no-compromise dynamic range controller continues the GML enginneering tradition and expands the familiar capabilities of the Model 8900 to include flexible multi-channel, multi-controller deployment. No export

The GML 2032 Microphone Preamplifier / Parametric Equalizer is a single-channel, multi-input device for high-resolution studio and remote applications. Based on the reference-standard Model 8300 Transformerless Microphone Preamplifier and Model 8200 Parametric Equalizer, this flexible 1U processor continues the GML engineering tradition while bringing the utmost in transparency, detail, and musicality to an affordable, compact form factor. The GML 2032 includes it’s own internal power supply.
Brought to you from the man who invented the term “Parametric Equalization”, the GML 8200
has been an industry standard for over twenty years, and can be found
on virtually every major recording studio’s stereo bus. Each of the five
broadly-overlapping bands offers 15dB of Boost or Cut and adjustable
bandwidth (or “Q”) from 0.4 to 4. The lowest and highest bands also can
be switched to Shelf mode. Quite simply, the 8200 is the archetype
Stereo Parametric Equalizer. Its extraordinary resolution, benchmark
transparency, generous headroom, and surgical precision have been the
reference for many other equalizers, but exceeded by no other. The 2U
8200 includes 8355 external power supply.No export
The GML 8302 belongs to GML Microphone Preamplifiers that are world renowned for their life-like realism, high resolving power, and reference-standard transparency. Why? Their all-discrete, bipolar transistor circuit topologies are completely transformerless with no FET's, IC's, or electrolytic capacitors in the signal path. Even the outputs are direct-coupled; time-proven active servos remove DC without adding any artificial color. 15dB to 70dB of Gain is front panel selectable in accurate 5dB steps. A +24dBv CLIP indicator warns of any impending overloads and switchable phantom powering is built in. The 8302 two-channel mic pre (as well as the 8304 four-channel version) fits compactly in only 1U of rack space, and includes the external GML 8355 Power Supply. No export

GML 8355 Power Supply for models 8200, 8302, 8304 and 9500. When power supplies are built into the same chassis as the audio circuitry, power transformers can radiate nasty magnetic fields into nearby audio paths increasing noise while additional heat generation brought on by transformers, rectifiers, and regulators can contribute to unwanted drift of operational parameters and premature failure of componentry. To avoid these problems, all GML outboard processors use stringently regulated and pure filtered external power supplies. All GML power supplies come with their dedicated detachable connecting cables as well as a country-specific detachable IEC mains power cord. Both the 8355 and the 9015 are internally switchable between 110v and 220v mains voltages making them flexible for engineers traveling overseas. Notably, these GML Power Supplies have an exceptionally wide input voltage tolerance (??30%) for reliable operation under questionable power conditions. No export
Twenty-two years of progressive research into loudness perception resulted in a limiter/compressor unlike any other. The GML 8900 Dynamic Range Controller
was intrinsically developed to react to loudness (rather than voltage)
like our ears do. The 8900’s psycho-acoustic approach uses multiple
true-RMS detectors, remarkably accurate log converters, and fast peak
detectors to respond intelligently to real signal energy, not just
electrical level. This innovative design employs unique controls, like
Crest Factor, Timing, and Release Hysteresis to precisely control the
dynamic features of musical performances; one would ordinarily change
out the entire unit to gain this flexibility. Familiar features such as
Stereo Link, Soft/Hard Knee, Ratio, Output Level, as well as the
comprehensive 40-segment tricolor Gain/Loss metering have been carefully
optimized for flexible, creative control over a wide dynamic range with
a noticeable lack of audible artifacts. A Side Chain Input permits
external frequency shaping to be introduced into the detection
circuitry. The entire audio path is all-discrete, including the
custom-built VCA, for unsurpassed transparency and low-level resolution.
