Founded in 1966 by Bob Heil, Heil Sound quickly made its mark on the live sound industry with artists like The Grateful Dead, The Who, Joe Walsh and Vintage King client Peter Frampton. Scores of touring artists turned to Heil Sound in the 60s and 70s for the necessary gear and continue to do so today. Internationally recognized by musicians and industry executives alike, Heil Sound won the first ever AES Pioneer Award as well as the Parnelli Award and, to this day, is the first ever audio manufacturer invited to display at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. In 2007, Bob Heil traveled to the Hall of Fame with a collection of historically important audio gear created by Heil Sound, including the first modular console, his custom quadraphonic mixer and the very first Heil Talk Box. Vintage King Audio offers an expansive array of Heil Sound Microphones, including the PR35, Mic Pro Plus, Heil Sound Heritage and several others. |
