SSL Mynx is a simple, elegant and cost effective way to get the depth, clarity and characteristic sound of SSL SuperAnalogue™ processing into your recordings. Mynx is a cool desktop mini X-Rack that allows you to load your choice from the X-Rack module range into a simple two module desktop box. Using identical circuit design and manufacturing to our Duality and AWS 900+ consoles, X-Rack is a modular system that delivers the legendary SSL SuperAnalogue sound in a uniquely versatile form. There are eight different modules in the range designed to complement your DAW and improve the results you get from the recording process. The X-Rack system enables you to combine different modules to create a range of recording and mixing tools; Combine the ‘SuperAnalogue™ Mic Pre’ & ‘Dynamics’ modules for a pristine front end recording system for vocals. Slot in the ‘EQ’ & ‘Dynamics’ modules for versatile and characteristic SSL channel strip processing. Add the ‘VHD Input’ module to inject analogue warmth or grit. Use ‘Master Bus’ & ‘Line Input’ modules for summing and monitoring. Or fit the ‘Stereo Bus Compressor’ module for legendary ‘audio glue’ full mix compression. Or fit a ‘Master Bus’ & ‘Line Input’ modules to create a analogue monitor and foldback system for your studio. Mynx is a rugged metal enclosure made from 4mm thick extruded aluminum. It measures a mere 106mm x 192mm x 186mm and has two X-Rack Module capacity. Power supply to the modules is via an external supply and audio connections are made directly to the back of your selected modules.

The SSL X-Rack is a new modular rack system that incorporates a unique Total Recall® capability and it is launched with a mono SuperAnalogue dynamics unit as its first module. This combination make it ideal as a stand alone dynamics processing solution for studio or live applications, or working with the flexible inserts of an AWS 900 to provide a complete 'SSL' channel processing solution for the console.

 The X-Rack dynamics module is based on the channel dynamics unit from the XL 9000 K Series console. This incorporates compression, limiting, expansion and gating with a number of options for hard or soft knee operation and peak, or RMS sensing. All of this circuitry is designed using SSL's acclaimed SuperAnalogue design techniques to deliver fantastic sound quality with very low noise and distortion. The X-Rack's recall capability provides the ability to store presets into Flash memory within the unit. This provides a simple way to save and recall favourite settings and it further integrates with the AWS 900's Total Recall option to provide a single store of all settings that can be archived with a workstation's project. This level of integration is right at the heart of the philosophy of workstation integration that both the XLogic and AWS 900 products set out to address.

The Tonelux V8 Roadster can be custom-loaded with any one of 20 different Tonelux Custom Console Modules to create any portable rig you can envision. D-sub and XLR ins & outs make this a snap to quickly connect/disconnect in the studio. Expand later with a V-Rack and/or a Tonelux full blown frame console! The V8 includes many features not found on any other rack system available today.
 
The rack can house up to 8x Mic Pres, Eqs and Compressors, in any combination.
 
The rack can also house any of the MIXING modules, including the MX2, FX2, MX5.1, SM2, TR8, and the CR2 for monitoring.
 
The system pictured above is an 8) channel mixer with 2) MP1A Mic Pres and 2) EQ4P Equalizers.
 
Having a Vrack back at the studio filled with MX2s and a CR2 module can link to the portable rack which allow both racks become one large system!
