| About Peter Kehoe |
 |
In the mid-90s, Kehoe met Vintage King owner Mike Nehra through the used analog console equipment market. He admired Nehra’s dedication to customer service and the reputation that Vintage King was building thanks to their outstanding client relationships. In December of 2005, Kehoe officially joined the Vintage King sales team, maintaining the company’s high standard of customer service and providing an invaluable resource of information for clients. Holding a BFA in Film and Television from the NYU Tisch School of Arts, Kehoe considers his time at Hit Factory his true audio education, along with his work in field service for Studer, which connected Kehoe with every facet of the audio market.
What is your favorite piece of gear?
Neve 8078 console
What piece of gear do you think changed history?
Studer J37
What is your most memorable Vintage King sale?
In 2008, Vintage King sold two new API Vision consoles to WNYC-FM for two new performance spaces / studios. As a dealer organization, Vintage King convinced WNYC to go with the API consoles over SSL, who were selling directly. We were confident that the API’s were the best fit, equipment wise, but we had to make that case and make it stick. So when WNYC agreed, it was a great feeling to know that we provided the most informative, best customer service possible.

Peter, outstanding. Thank you very much.
A purchase of this amount is a significant amount of money for us and spending it with a company that I found on the net and have no prior experience with can be worrisome. Obviously the monitors haven't arrived so I don't know what happens in the unlikely case that something goes wrong between shipping and arrival but you have been so helpful and provided such fast and excellent service that I'll be comng back to you whenever I'm looking for new gear in the future. Thanks again for your help, it's been much appreciated.

Peter,
You are the MAN. About 2 hours after the drive showed up, so did the first round of stuff from you guys. I seriously can't thank you enough man. Sontec should be in tomorrow and I start this record that is both financing this purchase and necessitating it on Saturday.

Thanks for sending the power cord and disk.
I'm very happy with the (CraneSong) Hedd. Extremely musical piece of gear which I think is hard to come by when it comes to digital equipment.
My next purchase will be a new Mac pro in a month or two. If you sell Macs let me know.
Thanks for the great price and service. I've been looking for a good dealer for a while.
Speak to you soon.

CASE STUDY:
In the Fall of 2009, WNYC Radio, the nation’s largest public radio station, consulted with Peter Kehoe and Vintage King Audio to outfit the station’s new street-level public space, The Jerome L. Greene Performance Space. Marking the first relocation for WNYC-FM in 85 years, WNYC-FM was in search of a new console for both The Greene Space and WNYC’s music studio in their new Hudson Square facilities.
The technical staff at WNYC, led by Chief Technology Officer Steve Shultis, turned to Peter Kehoe on the purchase and installation of large format analog and digital consoles. Kehoe’s expertise in the area, combined with Vintage King’s existing industry relationships proved valuable in assessing the various consoles WNYC was considering.
WNYC broadcasts a vast spectrum of content, from traditional news programming to live music performances, so they require a high quality console to meet on-air and mixing demands,” says Kehoe. “We narrowed the selection down to three choices based on sound quality, reliability and redundancy. After demo-ing the consoles, the API Vision was a logical choice. With 3 Stereo Buses, 24 Main Buses and their legendary EQ and dynamics processors inserted on every channel, the console is equipped to seamlessly segue between interviews and on-air performances, ranging from intimate acoustic artists to the rich, full sound of an 8-piece jazz band.”
Kehoe and Vintage King ultimately recommended the API Vision console not only for superb sound quality, but also dependability. An uninterrupted power source was a crucial deciding factor to meet WNYC’s needs and ensure that the station’s broadcasts run uninterrupted. The redundancy provided through the console’s traditional analog power supply design creates the reliability necessary for on-air broadcasts.
