The Tonelux Universal Console can be configured for up to 96 channels, room for Eqs, Mic Pres, Compressors, Control Room Section, Returns, Masters, and the new ShadowMix Motorized Fader System that uses your DAW's automation to run them, but with the audio going through them into the Tonelux modules!!!
Tonelux provides a system that can do tracking, mixing, overdubs and most other production work with the broad line of modular products it manufactures. We have taken many of the oversimplified external systems and included many of the large format console features into a very high quality, affordable system of modules that can be combined or used individually. We have used both discrete and IC based amplifiers in the positions that they each work the best in. With two new discrete opamps, the Tonelux line sounds as sweet as possible, with most comments referring to it's "dimensional sound" and it's "clear high end and fat bottom".
The starting point is the flexible Tonelux multi-function powered rack. With one single rack model, you can intermix any of the modules in any quantity because the configuration of the rack is universal for all modules. With Paul Wolff's extensive experience with console designs, beginning with his many years spent customizing live sound consoles, studio consoles and working in both environments, building nearly 35 custom consoles, through his final design of the first discrete surround console, not forgetting the modular designs of some of the first OTB summing mixers, EQs, Mic Pres and Compressors that are still being sold as they were designed, Tonelux was the next logical step, quickly becoming the leader in modular, configurable production systems, with a complete ground up concept that doesn't use obsolete designs to make something that appears new.
